Man charged in connection with cannabis seizure in Kildare as third person arrested

A man has been charged in connection with the seizure of €1.25 million worth of cannabis in Kildare.

The man in his 20s was one of two people arrested on Thursday, and will appear before Naas District Court on Saturday.

The second man arrested in Kildare, a man in his 30s, has been released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

As part of this investigation, a man in his 40s was arrested in Carlow on Friday, and is currently being held in a Garda station in Carlow.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
