Athlone rugby star Jack Carty announces engagement

Athlone rugby union player Jack Carty announced that he has gotten engaged to girlfriend Sarah Twaddell via a joint Instagram post this week.

Carty, 31 years old, is an Irish rugby union player who captains Connacht in the United Rugby Championship. He was educated in the Marist in Athlone and his first club was Buccaneers.

His new fiancée Sarah Twaddell is an interior designer and founder of the business Anekdote, an Irish interior design studio.

The happy couple shared three photos of their engagement on Instagram, with many local businesses, sports teams, and sports stars flocking to the comments to express their well-wishes.
