GAA: Armagh condemn Derry to third loss, Galway come back to beat Westmeath

Derry suffered their third consecutive championship loss, as they were defeated by Armagh in Celtic Park on a scoreline of Armagh 3-17 Derry 0-15.

The result leaves Mickey Harte's side on the brink of elimination from this year's championship. They will take on Westmeath in two weeks' time.

Elsewhere in group one, Galway came back to defeat Westmeath by 1-12 to 0-11 in Mullingar.

There was nothing to separate the teams in Clones as Monaghan and Louth finished level on a scoreline of 2-10 a piece.

Earlier today, Tyrone defeated Clare in the opening game of the day by 3-15 to 0-10.

In Navan, David Clifford scored two goals as his Kerry side beat Meath by 2-18 to 0-9.

In the Tailteann Cup, Down defeated Offaly by 2-22 to 3-13. Meanwhile, Sligo finished tied with Antrim on a scoreline of 0-20 to 0-20.

The draw for the preliminary quarter-finals has been made; Limerick vs Tipperary, Antrim vs London, Laois vs New York, Leitrim vs Wicklow.
