Appointment: Westmeath Independent/Offaly Independent

Adrian Cusack has been appointed as Deputy Editor of Westmeath Independent and Offaly Independent.

Adrian has been with the two titles since 2007, serving as a senior reporter.

A native of Athlone, he is a past pupil of St Mary's NS, Tubberclair NS, and Athlone Community College.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from NUI Galway, he obtained a Master of Arts in Journalism from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2004.

He has been working in local newspapers for the last 20 years, predominantly for the Westmeath and Offaly Independent, but also including spells with the Athlone Voice, Longford Leader and Dundalk Democrat.
