DCCI’s Made Local initiative highlights the originality, quality and value of Irish designed and craft-made products. It is a reminder to people that buying locally produced, well-crafted products is much more meaningful, sustainable, and impactful. Made Local encourages consumers to consider their purchases carefully and make mindful buying decisions in choosing beautiful, high quality, sustainable products from designers and craft makers in Ireland.

"We are asking consumers to be mindful in their purchasing decisions. ‘Made Local’ products in textiles, fashion, ceramics, jewellery or any of the many other craft disciplines deliver excellent value for money. They are truly ‘Made to Last’ and will provide years of enjoyment and pleasure," commented Rosemary Steen, Chief Executive of DCCI.

#MadeLocal was initially developed by Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) in 2020 to help the Irish craft and design sector through the challenges brought about by COVID-19.

Now in it's third year, the campaign brings together retailers, consumers and media to celebrate and support Irish makers and their work and to drive Irish made craft sales.

The Made Local campaign is a year-round social media campaign, supported by high profile national advertising and marketing campaigns.
