Major coffee morning on Saturday for Irish Cancer Society

Longford/Westmeath Fianna Fáil TD Robert Troy and well-known local woman Liz Gilhooly will host a coffee morning tomorrow to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

The coffee morning will be held on Saturday, March 23, at the Sheraton Athlone Hotel from 10am to 12.30pm.

The coffee morning is being organised as an extension of Daffodil Day and Deputy Troy and Ms Gilhooly have hosted an annual event over several years.

Last year's event alone raised a whopping €6,000 for cancer research.

This year's event is being supported by the Irish Cancer Society.
