Moate still being impacted by water outages today
Essential maintenance to Moate Reservoir yesterday (Monday) resulted in interruptions and water outages for some customers throughout the day, with reports of further outages in the area today (Tuesday).
In a statement issued to the Westmeath Independent, Uisce Éireann has said it is "currently investigating reports" of supply disruptions affecting "some customers in the Moate area" today, and is working on repairs to restore the water supply "as quickly as possible.
The water utility company has thanked customers for their patience while they work on restoring supply and has advised affected them that the Uisce Éireann helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278, and they can also be contacted on X (formerly Twitter) @IWCare with any queries.

Uisce Éireann crews carried out essential maintenance at Moate Reservoir yesterday (Monday). These necessary works resulted in low pressure and some supply interruptions/outages for customers in Moate while the works were being carried out.
The works were successfully completed by 5pm on Monday with normal supply returning to the majority of customers yesterday evening.
Our dedicated water service crews are currently investigating reports of supply disruptions impacting some customers in the Moate area this morning. Uisce Éireann understands how disruptive bursts are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to thank impacted customers in the Moate area for their patience while we work on repairs and restore the water supply as quickly as possible to all customers.
