Celebration and nostalgia at Athlone GAA dinner dance
The Sheraton Athlone Hotel was filled with excitement and celebration at the Athlone GAA dinner dance, with over 220 guests in attendance last Saturday night.
In what was the first dinner dance held by Athlone GAA in a few years, the evening was a festive affair packed with activities, delicious food and plenty of dancing, making it a night to remember.
During the event, Athlone GAA proudly unveiled Aircoach as the official sponsor of their men's team, showcasing a promising partnership for the future.
A highlight of the evening was a special segment dedicated to the rich heritage of Athlone GAA, where historical match reports dating back to the late 1800s were shared, underscoring the deep roots and traditions of the club.
The night brought joy to many attendees as various prizes were awarded, including a luxurious weekend Tesla rental for Ellen O’Connell; a night for two with dinner in the Hyatt Centric hotel in Dublin won by Davey O’Neill; and cash prizes of €500 each for Donna McKnight and Cora O’Rourke.
As the event continued into the early hours, guests danced the night away to the vibrant tunes of Bowtie and DJ Dave, creating a lively atmosphere filled with camaraderie and joy.
