Westmeath player named on team of the week after Limerick game
Westmeath's Darragh Egerton has been named on the GAA hurling team of the week following his performance against All-Ireland champions Limerick in TEG Cusack Park last Sunday.
The Clonkill player is selected on the team at right corner-back after a typically spirited performance.
Despite eventually losing by 1-20 to 0-17, the Westmeath team earned widespread praise for their display against John Kiely's men.
Next up for Westmeath is an away fixture in FBD Semple Stadium against Tipperary on Saturday, February 24.
