TG4 will be in Athlone to show live coverage of the Athlone Town women's team against Peamount United in April.

TG4's Women's League of Ireland live coverage to begin in Athlone

TG4 has announced it will be screening 12 live games during the upcoming SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division, with the first of these involving Athlone Town.

The broadcaster will be sending its cameras to Athlone Town Stadium for the meeting between the local side and Peamount United, the reigning league champions, on Saturday, April 13. The game will kick off at 7.35pm.

Three other live games in the league have also been announced in May and June, with the remaining live games on TG4 yet to be determined.

In 2023, TG4's coverage of the league included the final fixture that saw Peamount lift the league trophy after a victory over Sligo Rovers.

Athlone, managed by Ciaran Kilduff, will be looking to build on a memorable 2023 in which the club won the Sports Direct Women's FAI Cup.
