New Athlone Show 2024 committee elected

The Athlone Agri Show recently held its AGM in The Bounty, Athlone, where outgoing chairman John Dolan gave a brief account of his term in office and outlined his delight with the direction the show was going, catering for all aspects of the community.

He was loud in his praise of his fellow officers and committee and appealed for more youth to get involved in organising the various sections of the show.

The showgrounds on the farm of Michael O’Donoghue, Garnafailagh, Athlone, offers fabulous facilities for all the show activities set to take place in 2024 on June 16.

The following officers were elected: Chairman PJ Glynn, Vice Chairman John Dolan, Secretary Oliver Flanagan, Assistant Secretary Majella Glynn, Treasurer Michael O’Donoghue, Assistant Treasurer John Mc Cann, PRO Michael Flanagan. Section organisers were to be appointed at the first meeting to be held in early January.

The Athlone Agri Show is for Sunday, June 16 next.
