Man arrested in connection with serious Westmeath assault
A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with a serious assault on Patrick Street, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, during the early hours of Sunday, January 7.
The arrest took place this afternoon, Monday, and he is currently detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the midlands.
Investigations are ongoing.
