Charity screening of Gaza documentary to aid UNICEF

OFFline Film Festival is hosting a charity screening of the award-winning documentary, Gaza, on Thursday, December 28 at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre at 8pm.

100% of the monies raised on the night will go directly to UNICEF Ireland as they continue to send vital aid to the children of Gaza and the wider state of Palestine.

At least 5,350 children in Gaza have been killed, while more than 8,663 children have been injured as a result of the current conflict.

It’s hard to imagine anybody living a normal life in the Gaza Strip. Frequently labelled as the world’s largest open-air prison, this documentary by Irish filmmakers Garry Keane and Andrew McConnell, is a beautiful portrait of everyday Gazan citizens, leading meaningful lives beyond the rubble of perennial conflict.

Gaza depicts a people plagued by conflict but not defined by it, painting a tender portrait of a beleaguered humanity.
