Athlone Arts Group launch Christmas exhibition

Athlone Arts Group is one of the oldest art groups in the country since it was formed in the 1980s by a group of local entusiastic artists. Still running to this day, the busy group is holding their Christmas exhibition in Athlone Towncentre, next door to TKMaxx from December 19 to 23 next.

A big thank you to the centre's manager Shirley Delahunt and her team for their continued support for the arts.

So what's in store for the public this year? Well, lots of variety for everyone. There will be landscape paintings of places you may have visited on holidays or local scenes in your area. Still life, animals, birds, and portraits. There will be something for everyone.

There will be a myriad of techniques also. With the use of pastels, oils, watercolour, acrylic, pen and ink and etching.

Athlone Arts Group is looking forward to meeting our old customers and welcoming new ones.
