Woman dies in Longford crash
Single-vehicle accident happened on N4 on Monday.
Gardaí at Granard are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision in Edgeworthstown.
Shortly after 4:40pm on Monday, December 4, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a single vehicle collision on the on the N4 at Lisnagrish, Edgeworthstown.
The sole occupant of the car, a woman aged 80 years, was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel.
She was brought by ambulance to Tullamore Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They also appeal to those with video footage (including dashcam) from the N4 at Lisnagrish at the time of the collision to make this available to them.
