Castle Writers Group to feature on new radio show

Athlone Community Radio is thrilled to announce the launch of an inspiring new programme, 'Words on the Wing', researched, recorded and presented by the talented group who form the Castle Writers Group that meet every three weeks in Athlone Library.

This groundbreaking initiative is part of the community radio’s Community Takeover 3 project that is funded by Coimisiun na Mean with the television licence fee.

'Words on the Wing' is not just a radio programme; it's a journey through the realms of imagination and creativity. The Castle Writers Group, a gathering of exceptionally skilled wordsmiths, has poured their hearts and minds into crafting a series that celebrates the beauty of language and storytelling as part of CT 3. Athlone Community Radio recognises the importance of empowering local voices and is proud to support this endeavour that brings people together through the magic of words to elevate the human spirit. 'Words on the Wing' is a testament to the commitment of the community to foster artistic expression and intellectual engagement.

The first episode of 'Words on the Wing' will take to the airwaves on Athlone Community Radio 88.4fm on December 7th at 11am. Tune in to embark on a literary adventure that promises to uplift, inspire, and transport you to worlds crafted with skillful prose and heartfelt narratives.
