Moore concert a massive success
A fabulous night was had with Mary Coughlan and Ultan Conlon who were live in concert in Moore Hall last Friday night. For the first time, they both played publicly with their band and it was brilliant!
To a packed audience, they sang some new and some familiar songs and the audience were not shy in joining in. To everyone’s surprise, Eleanor Shanley joined them on stage, having agreed to do so when she bumped into Mary and Ultan while out shopping the previous week!
It was a night of music, story-telling, jokes, and great craic. There was tea, buns and biscuits available which was most welcome as many travelled from the surrounding counties of Westmeath, Offaly, Galway, and Roscommon. Mary Coughlan is a household name and Ultan Conlon fast becoming one.
Moore Community Council ran the event and Willie Naughton, Chairperson of MCC thanked everyone who turned out for what was a wonderful night of songs and celebration of great song writing.
He also thanked all the volunteers involved behind the scenes. So, if you get a chance, go see Mary, Ultan and their band. You won't be disappointed.
