Westmeath ladies appoint new football manager

Westmeath LGFA has appointed former Mayo ladies manager Frank Browne as the county's manager for the next three years.

The announcement was made on Friday and Westmeath LGFA confirmed that Browne was ratified at a meeting last week.

Browne had previous experience at LGFA intercounty level with Leitrim, Galway and Mayo.

Westmeath LGFA said the backroom team would be announced in the coming days.

His appointment was ratified at a Westmeath LGFA county board meeting and Westmeath look forward to the Lidl National League and Intermediate Championship in 2024

Browne replaces Roscommon's Michael Finneran in the role.
