Christmas lights to be turned on in Monksland

The annual switching on of the Christmas lights will take place this weekend in Monksland, hosted by Monksland Town Team.

The tree lighting ceremony will be held in SuperValu car park, Monksland this Friday, November 24, starting at 6pm. Mrs Claus and her elves will be in attendance and there will be facepainting for kids and performances by Attitude Dance and Stage School and St Brigid's Community Choir, Kiltoom.

Chairperson of Monksland Town Team Kelly Marie Neary said: "We have a lovely evening planned with it finishing with the arrival of Santa and the turning on of the Christmas lights."
