Ethiopia's Kemal Husen wins Dublin Marathon in record time

Ethiopia's Kemal Husen has been crowned men's champion of the Dublin Marathon.

Husen broke the course record, completing the 42-kilometre track in just under 2 hours and 7 minutes.

Sorome Negash of Ethiopia was the first woman across the line, at 2 hours and 26 minutes.

Stephen Scullion was the first Irish person to finish, at 2 hours and 11 minutes. That secured a third place finish, while he became the fastest Irish man ever in the Dublin Marathon.

The marathon has seen over 22,000 runners and walkers trek from Fitzwilliam Square, up to the Phoenix Park, past the RDS and ending at Merrion Square.
