The team at Midlands LGBT+ Project has been working tirelessly to make Heartlands Pride a reality and is thrilled to have the support of the local community and businesses.

The event is not just about having fun and celebrating, but also about raising awareness of the issues faced by the LGBT+ community in Athlone and the surrounding midlands area. The information workshops will cover a range of topics, including terminology and support for LGBT+ people. There will also be opportunities to meet and connect with other LGBT+ people, as well as allies, who share similar values and experiences.

Heartlands Pride is an important step forward for Athlone and the wider LGBT+ community. It’s a chance to show that no matter who you are or who you love, we should take pride in both ourselves and our wider community.
