Award success for Walderstown company

A Walderstown company has been named ‘Packaging Innovation Supplier of the Year’ at the Lidl Sustainability Summit 2023 last week.

Reilly Mushrooms, a family-owned business in Walderstown, Athlone, was recognised for innovating their packaging to be recyclable, containing recycled plastic and reducing plastic weight.

In business since 1988, Reilly Mushrooms were one of more than 100 of Lidl’s suppliers who attended its annual Sustainability Summit in the retailer’s Dublin Head Office last week.

At the event Lidl held educational sessions delivered by industry experts on critical upcoming sustainability topics in order to support its supplier network on their sustainability journey.
