Just-married singer Seán Keane set for Moate gig next month

The renowned Irish singer, Seán Keane, who recently tied the knot to fellow vocalist Ann Doohan in Donegal's Tory Island, will be heading to Moate for a performance in the Tuar Ard Theatre next month.

The local venue said it was "delighted to welcome Seán Keane back to Tuar Ard to perform from his vast repertoire of songs".

The Galway man, known for his mastery of sean-nós style singing, will be on stage in Moate on Friday, October 6, at 8pm.

Last week he announced he had gotten married to his "beautiful wife Ann, surrounded by family and friends," on Tory Island.

"It was a day beyond expectations, absolutely wonderful from start to finish!" he wrote.

Seán has been performing a weekly residency at Westport's Town Hall Theatre throughout the summer and his schedule of upcoming gigs includes one in Longford's Backstage Theatre on September 16.
