A moment of magic from Athlone Town striker Frantz Pierrot to win last Saturday night's Midlands derby against Longford Town has gone viral, attracting over 200,000 views on social media.

The Haitian-born attacker has been in prolific form this season, finding the net 18 times to date.

On Saturday, with hosts Longford leading 2-1, Pierrot struck in the 80th minute to level it up.

Then with just two minutes to go, amid the wind and rain, he produced a brilliant piece of skill to flick the ball over the head of a Longford defender before driving home an emphatic finish.

Saturday's win leaves fourth-placed Athlone on track to be part of this year's promotion playoffs from the First Division.
