Buccs duo in Ireland U18 squad as several players make Connacht panels

Two highly promising young Buccaneers players, hooker Jack Pollard and centre Thomas Sheehan, have been included in the Ireland U-18 squad for a week-long development camp against their Welsh, Scottish and Italian counterparts.

The squads will train together at Cardiff University later this month and the camp will wind up with 30-minute matches against each of the other teams.

Meanwhile, fourteen Buccaneers players have been selected for training in Connacht squads ahead of the upcoming youths interprovincial series.

A quartet – Andrew Henson, Kyle Byrne, Kyle Mahon and Kailin Blessing – are named in the U-17 panel with a trio of Ireland internationals – Patrick Egan, Niall Tallon and Sean Rohan – included in the U-19 squad.

Buccaneers' biggest representation is in the U-18 squad where Atega Awhinawhi, Dylan Bruton, Thomas Cotton, Eoin Naughton, Charlie O’Carroll, Jack Pollard and Thomas Sheehan feature.

The club wishes all these richly promising young players every success as they strive to wear the green of Connacht and further progress their rugby careers.
