Rosemount Rose's reign set to come to an end

Rachel Duffy, the 2022 Rose of Tralee, will soon see her reign come to an end as details of this year's festival are announced.

Rachel, from Rosemount, became the first Rose representing Westmeath to take the title last August, when the festival returned after a 2 year absence due to Covid-19.

Over the course of the last year Rachel has been involved in numerous charitable endeavours and has travelled to countries such as Germany, America, and India.

The 62nd Rose of Tralee International Festival will run from August 18-22 this year, and RTÉ have announced that Kathryn Thomas will join Dáithí Ó Sé as co-host. This is the first time in the festival's history that there will be two hosts.

It will be broadcast live from the Kerry Sports Academy at the Munster Technological University (MTU) on August 21 and 22 on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
