Three local pubs named finalists in Bar of the Year Awards

Three local hostelies have been announced as finalists in the Bar of the Year Awards in eight different categories.

The Wineport Lodge is a finalist in the Hotel Bar of the Year category. Meanwhile, Peadar's Bar in Moate and Gertie Brownes Bar and Bistro are both in the running for four awards.

Peadar's Bar has a chance to scoop an award in the following categories; Traditional Bar of the Year, Local Bar of the Year, Outside Space of the Year and Best Value Pub.

Gertie Brownes Bar and Bistro has also been shortlisted for Local Bar of the Year along with Tourist Bar of the Year, Gastro Bar of the Year and Bar Food of the Year.

With almost 600 submissions this year's Bar Awards have seen more entries than ever before, which made the judges decision even harder. After intense deliberation only the best bars have been shortlisted as finalists. After months of rigorous evaluation and an exhaustive search for the most exceptional venues, the Bar of the Year Awards is thrilled to showcase the crème de la crème of the bar industry.

These individuals and venues have consistently raised the bar, delivering unparalleled experiences and pushing boundaries within the industry.

All finalists will be considered for the 2023 People's Choice Award, voted by the public.The winners will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by Anton Savage on Monday, August 21 in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.

Finalists are encouraged to share the voting form on their social media platforms and website to boost votes.
