Tang GAA launches lip sync fundraiser as countdown begins

Twelve lip sync acts were introduced to a packed Carey’s pub in Ballymahon at Tang GAA's recent launch night for the event.

The acts are going to perform in The Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule later this year, on October 27 and October 28, with tickets priced at €25.

This is a major fundraiser for all stakeholders in Tang GAA and the wider community to extend existing facilities and provide infrastructure to benefit all age groups throughout the area. The main sponsor of this event is Radon Applicator Company

Truce Promotions (Tom Sheerin and Bruce McCormack) are the promoters of the fundraiser, and they are pulling out all the stops to ensure that next October’s event will be a huge success.

“If the atmosphere at the launch night is an indication of what is to come, then the audience should be looking forward to two nights of unbelievable entertainment next October. Tickets for the event will be going on sale shortly so don’t be disappointed and get yours early,” said Tang GAA Chairman Tom Conlon.

The Lip Sync committee was delighted with the turnout for the launch night. Every act was introduced to the crowd and a few bars of their chosen song was played. All the acts were buzzing at the hugely enjoyable launch event, with many people praising the electric atmosphere.

People in attendance are very much looking forward to next October’s event and are already beginning to pick their winners.

The night concluded with committee members thanking Bridgie Carey and staff for hosting the event in their wonderful facilities. Thanks were also extended to the businesses who are sponsoring the acts and contributing enormously to the event.

The night would not have been possible without the acts themselves and huge credit and praise went out to the people in the acts who stepped up to contribute to the event.

Truce Promotions were thanked for a great night’s fun, with Mr Conlon also thanking John Burke for capturing a flavour of the event by taking photographs at the launch.

From now on, each act will be organising their own fundraisers from cake sales, darts, cycling, coffee mornings and raffles. A wonderful art piece has been donated and tickets will be on sale for that shortly.

Those interested in the event are asked to keep an eye on Tang GAA notes and the Tang Community Lip Sync Facebook page for more details on these upcoming events.
