This new local cinema opened today

Omniplex Cinema Group has launched a brand new state-of-the-art cinema in Ballinasloe.

Ballinasloe Omniplex officially opened today, Friday, and the company said it will provide cinema lovers access to a luxury cinema experience.

The 5-screen cinema features a Maxx Recline auditorium complete with 15-metre-wide by 2-story-high screen, electric recliner seats. All five screens feature double sofa beds.

Mark Anderson, Director of Omniplex Cinemas commented, “We’re delighted to open our newest cinema in Ballinasloe - our second cinema in Galway."

He said the Maxx Recline auditorium is the most comfortable yet and features electric reclining armchairs

Ballinasloe Omniplex is the third, brand new location opened by Omniplex Cinema Group in the last six months, including a similar five-screen multiplex in Mullingar, and ‘The Avenue’; a 9-screen cinema in Belfast, complete with in-seat dining service, café and bar. Construction of the group’s 38th cinema is currently underway in their recently acquired Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in Drogheda.
