O’Sullivan steps down as Buccaneers coach
Buccaneers Rugby Football Club has announced with regret that Eddie O’Sullivan is stepping down from his head coach role with immediate effect.
The former Ireland supremo is moving on to pursue "a new career opportunity", said a statement from Buccaneers RFC.
The club has sincerely thanked O’Sullivan for "an excellent season" in which Buccaneers consolidated their place in Division 1B of the Energia All-Ireland League, also going close to making the promotion play-offs.
The Athlone club also won a Connacht Senior League and Cup double.
“Eddie is wished all the best with his new business and into the future,” said the club.
“Buccaneers RFC will now commence the process to appoint his successor.”
