PHOTOS: The stunning 'DIY SOS' revamp of firefighter Pa Berry's Athlone home
Last night's episode of DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland captured the wonderful renovation of the home which Athlone firefighter Pa Berry shares with his partner Nicky and their three children.
The programme showed how the DIY SOS team, and volunteers from Athlone and further afield, came together to transform the Assumption Road property in order to better assist with Pa's recovery after he was seriously injured while on duty in Mount Temple in October 2021.
There has been a hugely positive response to the episode, with the Irish Examiner writing about how well it told Pa's "moving and inspiring" story, and stating that the people of Athlone were "the true stars" of the show.
Curry's, the electrical retailer, came on board to provide kitchen appliances and technology for the families featured on DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland.
“We are thrilled to be back on board for another season as an official kitchen appliances and technology supplier for the new season of DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland. At Currys, one of our key values is to help everyone enjoy amazing technology, so it's a privilege to once again be able to support families in need with our products," said Emma Murphy, Marketing Manager at Currys Ireland.
Currys shared these images showing the aftermath of the DIY SOS revamp of the Berry family home:
