Taoiseach hints at significant investment for Ballinasloe "in coming weeks"

During a visit to Ballinasloe last week, An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, hinted at a major investment announcement for the town in the coming weeks.

In an interview with Galway Bay FM, the Fine Gael leader said the IDA are “in discussions with two companies that are interested in investing and creating jobs in the town.”

He expressed the hope that an announcement is “”only weeks away, but that's in their hands not mine, but it will be a good sign of investment in the town” he told the radio station.

Leo Varadkar was in Ballinasloe to visit Portiuncula Hospital, and the local offices of the IDA and he also participated in a walkabout in the town where he met with members of the public and also local business people.
