Athlone artist's charity calendar reaches €10,000 milestone

An annual fundraising calendar by Athlone-based artist Anna Boles recently reached an important milestone when the amount it has raised over the years surpassed €10,000.

Anna has been publishing the calendars of her artwork for the last six years, with the 2023 calendar generating €2,250 for the South Westmeath Hospice.

The calendars have gone on sale each year for €15, with 25% of the purchase price going directly to charity.

In total, sales of the calendars have now raised over €10,000 for causes such as the Hospice, Pieta House and Barnardos.

Anna wanted to say a "huge thanks" to everyone who contributed to this total by purchasing a calendar.

She also expressed her gratitude for the sponsorship she received from "all of the amazing local business who played a huge part in raising this amount".
