Gavin set for Roscommon debut tonight
There's a debut for Roscommon for Clonown's Patrick Gavin as new Roscommon manager Davy Burke announced his first team for tonight's Connacht League semi final against Sligo.
Gavin (Clann na nGael) is one of two Clann players in the starting line up, with Ciarán Lennon named in the half-forward line.
There's a strong sprinkling of South Roscommon players in newlook Roscommon side, with Brian Stack and Ben O'Carroll (St Brigid's), David Murray, Niall Daly and Paul Carey (Padraig Pearses) and Keith Doyle (St Dominic's) who has the honour of leading out the side as captain.
The team includes a large swathe of players who featured for Roscommon U20s in their journey to the All Ireland final in 2021 as Burke seeks to bring forward a new generation of players to the senior ranks.
