Comedian Al Porter plays the Dean Crowe bar on Saturday, February 25 at 8pm.

Live comedy at the Dean Crowe

Five years later, Al Porter is starting over. He’s 29, living at home and going out on the road again to follow his dreams. God loves a trier.

Live comedy at its best can be edge of your seat stuff. Even more exciting is watching it get its first outing (and hoping deep down that some of it dies on its ar*e!)

Off-stage, he’s older and wiser. On stage, he’s just older. Al’s ready and waiting in the wings to be funnier than ever before. Join him, with half price tickets, as he road tests new material at his first gigs in half a decade in the Dean Crowe bar in Athlone on Saturday, February 25 next at 8pm. Doors open at 7pm.

Will it work? It’s worth a shot! No frills, no gimmicks — just Al, some notes and a lot of laughs!

As seen on BBC’s Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and on stage in Vicar Street, Cork Opera House and Soho Theatre London, Al Porter has been likened to Dave Allen by Chortle, while The Guardian described him as a "steamroller crowd pleasing talent”.

The show entitled 'A Work in Progress' is only suitable for over 18s, and will last 120 minutes with an interval. It is presented by Pinktie Productions.

Tickets for the Al Porter gig in the Dean Crowe bar are €11.50 and available now from the theatre website at https://www.deancrowetheatre.com
