Local artists to hold exciting drop-in event for Culture Night 2022

Mote Park Artists which comprises artists from Athlone and Roscommon will host an inspiring Culture Night event in Knockroghery Community Hall this weekend.

This free, drop-in event will take place this Friday from 5.30pm and will include an art exhibition, live music and poetry readings. The artists promise that there will also be a few other surprises on what is sure to be a fantastic cultural experience.

Mote Park artists, musicians and poets include John Larkin, Marie Lough, Dee McKiernan, Nessa McMahon, Patricia O’Connor, Kitty Phelan, Christina Waldron and Jessica Wedher.

Having held several successful exhibitions in the past, the group is looking forward to welcoming visitors back to enjoy the arts. Much of the art on display will be for sale, providing an opportunity for the public to purchase a unique and beautiful piece of art. The artists would like to thank Roscommon County Council Arts Office for their support with this event.

The drop-in event will be open from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on Culture Night, Friday, September 23. The art will be on display again on Saturday, September 24 from 10.30am to 1.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
