Athlonians meet world famous violinist

Athlonians Frank Earley and Adam Earley from Athlone met up with musician André Rieu recently in Holland.

Known to millions around the world as the 'King of the Waltz', the Dutch violinist met the local pair following his concert in Maastricht recently.

A musical phenomenon, André Rieu has sold a massive 40 million CDs and DVDs and notched 30 number one chart positions worldwide.

Known for large concert spectacles across Europe, Rieu plays alongside his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, the largest private orchestra in the world, and is credited for a a global revival in waltz music.
