Wineport welcomes new Ukrainian staff members

Wineport Lodge near Athlone has extended a warm welcome to its latest recruits – Olena Pavlenko and Krystyna Fadieieva, recent arrivals to the Glasson area from war-torn Ukraine.

Owner Jane English said: "We were approached by a neighbour who had settled in Ireland from Ukraine in recent years. She had some family members who managed to make it out of Ukraine to Ireland. We heard that they were looking for work and we are delighted to welcome Olena and Krystyna to the Wineport Lodge ‘family’. It’s just heart-breaking to hear that their parents are partners are putting their lives on the line to protect their homeland."
