Sorca McGrath

Workshops for artists to be held at Mount Temple studio

Mount Temple-based musician, play therapist & psychotherapist Sorca McGrath, together with The Relate Ability Centre, is running a pilot scheme in 2022 for practising artists in Ireland to provide psycho-education in neuroception (how to work with messages coming from inside and outside of your body), self-regulation and co-regulation, in order to enhance creativity.

Two groups of six artists will be invited to attend four workshops through 2022 where they will develop a toolbox of knowledge and methods to support themselves in the practice of good mental hygiene to enhance their artistic practices and their creative process.

The pilot scheme is funded in full by The Relate Ability Centre and The Bank of Ireland Begin Together Arts Fund in partnership with Business To Arts.

A practising artist can include, but is not limited to, anyone in Ireland who practises professionally - music, visual art, writing, poetry, dance, theatre making, print making, glass making, videographers, photographers and any other creative practitioners.

Applications are open up to February 18 at https://www.relateabilitycentre.ie/artistworkshops2022
