Major fundraiser to help finish community pitch project
Horseleap Streamstown Community Association
After a successful summer of work at the new community pitch at the Horseleap Streamstown Community complex, the community look forward to the completion of the first phase of the project this spring.
The groundworks and drainage were done from June to October 2021. In order to progress matters further, a great fundraising draw takes place on Sunday 30 January at the community centre.
First prize is €5,000, second prize is €1000, third is an Aberdeen Angus Heifer (value €1000), fourth €500 and there are two prizes of €250. The draw is open to all but tickets are limited to 300 in total and they are selling fast.
By supporting the draw, you are guaranteeing that the project will come to fruition in the coming months and that the new facility will be one of the best in the midlands.
Tickets are available online through the Facebook Page and are on sale locally through the organising committee and in local businesses. After almost two years of lockdown, we are appealing to every household and organisation to support the draw and keep the work onstream.
It was originally set for New Year’s Eve but Covid was too active and it was in the interest of safety to postpone until this Sunday 30 January.
Community Auction
As a follow-on in fundraising please pencil in Sunday 2 March for an auction. Now is the time to do a spring clean and gather good quality saleable items for the auction.
The organisers hope that every household will be able to donate items , and also come on the day and support it. More details to come, so watch this space.
