'Ashling was the light of our lives'
Ashling Murphy was the “heart” of her family, her distraught sister says.
In a moving post on social media last night, Amy Murphy said:
Ashling was the light of our lives and the heart of our family. Sadly we will lay her to rest tomorrow, Tuesday the 18th of January. Requiem mass will take place in St. Brigid's Church, Mountbolus at 11am. Her ceremony will be aired on RTÉ 1 television and will also be live streamed via this link. Our family kindly asks that any musicians attending please bring their instrument and play music at lower town cemetery after mass should you wish. We would greatly appreciate privacy from media outlets at this time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
The Taoiseach and President are both scheduled to attend Ashling's funeral, which is being held in St. Brigid's Church, Mountbolus.
