GAA personality Joe Brolly was full of praise for the fundraising exploits of Moore brothers Shane and Martin Glennon when he visited their home last Thursday.
The lads through their Driving on for Cathy campaign raised over €80,000 for the Irish Cancer Society, The Mayo Roscommon Hospice and for the Galway Hospice.
Joe Brolly, a hospice ambassador, accompanied Martina Jennings, CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice, to pick up their share of the proceeds - a massive €28,050 - at a very special cheque presentation.
The GAA personality was blown away by the way the boys reacted to losing their mother following a short battle with cancer last October and by the generosity of everyone who supported the fundraising.
Martina Jennings said the funds came in at a crucial time and will help to keep their services going.
The Moore brothers were highly commended for their epic fundraising in the recent Garda Youth Awards Longford/Roscommon Division.
