Niall Horan has become a shareholder in the popular Irish athleisure brand Gym+Coffee.
Niall has not only invested in the Dublin based company, he will also act as an advisor and help boost the brand's profile internationally.
In a statement issued this week, the Mullingar native said that he has been a “fan of Gym+Coffee for some time both as a brand and a business”.
“I love the idea of the community they created around the brand and their goals to Make Life Richer.
“The first time I bought some Gym+Coffee gear I was struck by the high quality of the clothing and I was delighted to see they were an Irish brand with a serious team behind their operation. As I looked into it more, I started to understand their ambition and I’m delighted now to become part of the team that will hopefully bring the brand to a wider audience.”
The company tweeted this week that it is “unbelievably excited to welcome Niall Horan to the Gym+Coffee team as an investor and advisor to our growing brand and community!”.
“We’ve been blown away by Niall’s enthusiasm for Gym+Coffee and we can’t wait for you to get to know him a little better, as we launch this partnership and journey together.”
Gym+Coffee CEO Niall Horgan said the over the last decade Horan has “represented Ireland with optimism, inclusivity, energy and positivity on a global stage and has become a household name across the world”.
"He is what we aspire to become as a business. We hope that with his guidance and direction Gym+Coffee can emulate some of the success he’s had and proudly represent Ireland internationally.”
The former One Direction man is not the first Irish celebrity to invest in Gym+Coffee. The former captain of the Irish rugby team Brian O'Driscoll was an early backer of the company, which launched in 2017.
The firm has a number of high profile fans, including Horan's fellow Mullingar man Bressie and Joe Wicks.
