Popular Athlone group reopens in new town venue

A popular Slimming World group in Athlone is relocating this week.
Pauline Bliss, who was running the award-winning Slimming World group in The Athlone Springs Hotel, will be moving this group to the heart of Athlone in the St Kieran’s Community Centre in Tormey Villas. This move takes place from today Wednesday, August 26.
“I’m so excited about this move of venue, St Kieran’s Community Centre is a lovely hall and it is immaculately kept, so our members will find it warm, airy, comfortable and spacious. This is vital for us at the moment as we are adhering to the strictest Covid-19 guidelines in line with government recommendations," Pauline says.
"Here in St Kieran’s large hall we have plenty of room so that our chairs are at least 2 metres apart. The groups are shorter and smaller, so we have set up a simple booking system for members to book a place, that way, we can control our numbers for safety. We would love to welcome back existing and new members to join us in this lovely venue," adds Pauline.
