Local pub to reopen with arrangement with adjacent restaurant

An Athlone pub has announced it is to reopen tomorrow (Thursday)

Peddler Mac's on Church Street has been closed since March but has now confirmed it wil reopen tomorrow.

In a post on its Facebook page, it said it would be working in compliance with HSE guidelines.

In order to meet the requirement that all customers must purchase food, it has arranged with La Cucina d'Angelo restaurant next door which will be set up and ready to dish out some of their delicious food to order from your table.

"We will be operating on a walk-in system only and will have a full time host at the door who will do their very best to look after you on arrival. We just ask that you bear with us as we adapt to our new systems," it said.

Its new opening hours are 4pm Wednesday - Sunday Inclusive
