UPDATE: Man to appear in Mullingar court on COVID-19 fraud charge

Gardai have now confirmed that a man in his late teens, arrested in Mullingar, has now been charged in connection with an investigation into fraudulent claims of COVID-19 payments.

The man is due to appear at Mullingar District Court on June 12.

It follows an arrest yesterday which Gardai said, at the time, related to a suspected case of a man receiving six separate Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payments into a bank account,
