Another major increase in Westmeath coronavirus cases
There been another 32 COVID-19 cases in Westmeath among almost 1,000 further COVID- cases confirmed across the country.
The latest cases announced this evening by the Department of Health brings the overall number above 10,000 cases.
There is now a total of 10,647 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland. And in Westmeath there are now 213 cases. In Roscommon, the numbers jumped from 27 to 39.
Another 31 people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ireland have died.
26 of these patients were deaths located in the east, 3 in the north west, 1 in the south and 1 in the west of the country. There 18 females and 13 males
There have now been 365 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland.
The rise in cases arose following the notification, as of 11.15am on Monday, of an additional 527 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by Irish laboratories and an additional 465 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by a laboratory in Germany.
