Carty to get first start in green shirt
It will be his sixth cap for Ireland, and his first time to start a match in the green shirt.
The Athlone man and Connacht star made his senior debut for Ireland in their Six Nations win over Italy in Rome on February 24 this year.
His fifth cap came last Saturday when he was introduced as a substitute in Ireland's heavy 57-15 defeat to England in Twickenham.
Head coach Joe Schmidt has announced a much-changed side for this Saturday's match, led by Peter O’Mahony, with Rory Best in the replacements.
Jack Conan and Tadgh Beirne join O’Mahony in the backrow, with Iain Henderson and James Ryan packing down at lock.
Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell and John Ryan make up an all-Munster front row combination while Connacht pair Kieran Marmion and Jack Carty fill the half-back berths.
Bundee Aki and Chris Farrell partner up in the centre for a fifth run-out together, with Will Addison supported in the backfield by Andrew Conway and Jacob Stockdale.
The replacements on Saturday are Rory Best, Andrew Porter, Tadhg Furlong, Devin Toner, Jordi Murphy, Luke McGrath, Garry Ringros and Dave Kearney.
The match will be broadcast live by Channel 4 and RTE Radio.
