Man dies at Walderstown racing
A post-mortem is expected to take place today on the body of a man in his 30s who was killed during a motor biking race in Walderstown on Sunday.
The crash happened at 11.30am when a man (34) from Northern Ireland was seriously injured during racing at the annual Race of the South.
He was treated at the scene before being airlifted to the Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The event was subsequently abandoned and Garda forensic collision investigators examined the crash site.
Enquires are ongoing, and the coroner has been notified.
A file will be prepared in accordance with the Coroners Act by Gardai.
