Family of missing Westmeath man appeal for information

The family of a Westmeath man who has been missing for two weeks since travelling to Tenerife, are appealing for assistance from the public.

Peter Wilson (32), from near Rochfortbridge, left Dublin Airport on Friday March 22 for Tenerife. He was going for a week's holiday with a friend.

However his family have not heard from him, and he has not been seen since Saturday March 23. Peter had been staying in the Malibu Park Hotel, and is known to have been in the Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas areas.

The 32-year-old, who is a father of two and works at Patterson Pumps in Mullingar, is approximately 5 feet 8 inches in height. He has hazel/green eyes and dark brown hair, and has distinctive tattoos on his arm of a clock and roses.

Worried family members have mounted a social media campaign to try and find information on his whereabouts. They are in contact with the police in Tenerife, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.

“Please contact the police, in Tenerife or in Ireland, if you have any memory of seeing Peter from March 22nd onward,” reads the appeal on Facebook.

“Any sighting is important, your help is vital.”
